WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Parking is limited, so we recommend carpooling, rideshares, or walking if you're nearby.
Please enter through the main campus entrance on Ledbetter, drive around to the football field to check-in.
Parents/Guardians must be present with students to enter the festival
Please provide your full name, zip code, and number of kids with you to our friendly check-in volunteers
You'll each get a wristband and food tickets!
Proceed to the backpack tent for pick-up and then head to the main event for ALL THE FUN!
Backpacks will be issued first come, first served—so get there early!
ATTENTION PARENTS: Please arrive to the festival and register on-site to receive a backpack and school supply kit. Arriving by 9:00AM is recommended!
This festival is more than just supplies—it’s a celebration of us. Come out, bring the whole family, and let’s kick off the school year the Oak Cliff way: with joy, love, and a little bit of turn up.

Saturday, August 9, 2025 | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Volunteer Orientation: Saturday, August 2, 2025 (In-Person) It takes a village—and we need YOU to help make this year’s Back to School Festival our biggest and best yet! We're giving away thousands of backpacks, hosting live entertainment, and showing love to the entire Oak Cliff community. Come be part of the magic and serve where it matters most.
✨ Available Volunteer Roles 📋 Registration (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.) Greet guests with a smile and help them check in and get oriented. (mobile device required) 🎈 Set-Up Crew (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.) Assist with arranging tables, signage, and event zones before the festival kicks off. (heavy lifting required) 🧭 Wayfinding Team (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.) Help families navigate the space with ease—from the food zone to the performances. (standing required) 🍽️ Food Zone (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.) Support our food vendors and make sure meals get to our guests smoothly, keep areas clean. 🎒 Backpack Distribution (7 a.m. – 11 a.m.) Be part of the heart of the festival—help us pass out thousands of backpacks provided by the Witherite Law Group. (Early birds needed for this one!) 🚗 Parking Team (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.) Direct traffic and guide attendees to designated parking areas. (standing required) 🧹 Breakdown Crew (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.) Help us close out the festival with care—taking down signage, packing up supplies, and leaving the space better than we found it. 📅 Save the Date: Volunteer Orientation Saturday, August 2, 2025 (In-Person: 907 E.
